I’m always inspired by strong women of exceptional talent.  Case in point: Adele.  That woman can belt a tune like no one’s business and share a heart-rending message all at the same time.  I love this music video ~ shot at my fave location, Pont Alexandre in Paris.  The message is pretty fab, too:

Times they are a-changing.  Women today are not waiting for someone else to create our Happiness.  We know what we like… what is special to us… and we won’t wait around for someone to buy us the perfect diamond ring.  Hey… if that happens… Great!  Until then, we are embracing the opportunity to celebrate ourselves.

Today is Part One of a Three-Part blog hop sponsored by B’sue Boutiques www.bsueboutiques.com and our ‘Build a Line Challenge’.

The challenge is a three-month long, virtual master class in the successful launch of a cohesive line of jewelry. I’m honored to be joining over 50 respected jewelry artists from around the world in this venture. At the end of this challenge, we will each reveal our completed new line of jewelry with a minimum of five (5) pieces in our chosen style.

Today’s post is an introduction to each artist ~ who we are, our creative background and process, and a quick peek into our proposed lines.

So grab a hot cup of coffee or tea, and I’ll tell you a little bit about me.

I love Sparkle! My love affair started as a young girl when I spent hours with my great-grandmother marveling at her jewelry collection and learning about the art of blending sparkly costume pieces with classic fine jewelry.

Fast forward to 2009:  after a successful career as a corporate banker, I returned to my true love… jewelry!

Parisienne Girl Designs was started to create modern, elegant jewelry using upcycled vintage and classic costume jewels.  Why Parisienne Girl? I’m one of those people who never looks back.  Truly! Most days I can’t even remember the day before! That’s why we have pictures and husbands, right?

So when it was suggested that I share pictures of my previous work, a moment of anxiety washed over me.  Just what had I created?

Epiphany! My body of work does speak to classic, timeless elegance with a vintage flair.  Yes, like a magpie I’ve always been drawn to Sparkle ♥ …and pieces created 6-years ago when I started this venture are as wearable today as the day created.  Affordable jewelry that can be worn for a lifetime ~ not discarded like last year’s worn trends.

So without further ado, here is a brief retrospective in (approximate) chronological order.  …’cause I don’t really remember, right?!?
